Howe Park Wood, Tattenhoe (SSSI in Milton Keynes, managed by MK Park Trust). This a sizeable remnant of ancient broadleaf woodland in the SW suburbs of Milton Keynes; we’ve not visited for 15 years and the MKPT are keen to build up their records. Meet at SP 830 345 in the carpark off Chaffron Way (H7); the entrance is across the road from the Nut & Squirrel pub and Barnsdale Drive and adjacent to Howe Pk. Wd. Visitor Centre. Leaders: Derek Schafer and Justin Long with Martin Kincaid from the MKPT.
