Bats and glow worms in Newton Blossomville – Julie Lane

A late evening walk in this beautiful north Buckinghamshire village to listen out for bats and other wildlife down by the river Ouse, visit the local church to find out about bats in churches and then wander up a country road looking out for glow worms in the verges. Bring a torch and warm clothes as it might be chilly. Please also bring a bat detector if you have one.

Parking: Park on the village road (please respect local access), then rendezvous at the church green towards the Turvey end of the village. Please share cars where possible.
Length of walk – approximately 0.5-1 mile

This walk is also being advertised through The Parks Trust as part of the MK Festival of Nature for registration by members of the general public. MKNHS members do not need to register. If more than 30 people attend, two groups will be formed to comply with government regulations.
