During the winter, the Society meets every Tuesday from September through to the end of April at:

Please note that during November 2019, meetings will be held in the Lecture Theatre in the Resource Centre and not the Cruck Barn at MK CDC? Parking arrangements will be the same.

Meetings open with refreshments at 7.30pm, for an 8pm start. Meeting are free for members. There is a charge of £2.00 for non-members.

During the summer, the Society meets every Tuesday from May through to the end of August.  Meetings are on Tuesdays at 7.00p.m. unless otherwise stated. Stout footwear is generally advised for our outdoor meetings. Visitors are usually most welcome. Note that as many of the meeting places do not have postcodes, the closest is listed. Click on the grid reference to load a map showing the location of the site.

Please note that clause 7 of the Society’s constitution reads: “The Society will exercise due care when arranging its meeting and activities for the benefit of members. Members taking part in any meeting or activity do so at their own risk”.

    Meet in the BMX car park off V11 Tongwell street promptly for 7.00 departure.
    Main objective of visit to look for and record odonata on this site especially Platycnemis pennipes (White Legged Damselfly ) which Alan has recorded in reasonably good numbers considering the decline of this species over recent years. Once this was abundant along the River Ouzel (Lovat) and River Great Ouse.

    Many other species of invertebrates can be recorded here and other species: various warblers, possibly kingfisher and water shrew

    GR : SP 883410.   Postcode: MK15 9LZ– not particularly helpful. Travelling north on V11 cross H5-A509-Portway. Turn 2nd left towards Willen lake and go under V11 to car park, on the east of V11.
