Due to safety concerns about the ‘picnic area’ and parking by Thornborough Bridge, the meeting place and route have been changed for the Tuesday 9 June field visit to Coombs Quarry and Padbury Brook (leader: Sue Hetherington).

We will instead be meeting at the Bucks Council depot in the tiny hamlet of Coombs.  Postcode MK18 2EB, grid ref SP734 326, What3Words reception.engine.roadshow

The gate will be open.  We can park anywhere but ensure the neighbour’s gate isn’t blocked (or they will be very unhappy).

We will then cross the (unexpectedly busy) road together to the gate into the woodland and the short walk to the quarry (no styles!)  After examining the quarry, we can then enter the next field and take a look at Padbury Brook.
