Maps were produced using DMAP for Windows v7.4 and are based on a dataset of 50,000 records collated up to 2014, which formed the basis of the recent IUCN status review (Bantock, T. A review of the Hemiptera of Great Britain: The shieldbugs and allied families (Natural England 2016). Since 2014 one additional species has been added to the British list, the pentatomid Sciocoris homalonotus.
