Here’s an invitation for all society members:
Dear Milton Keynes Natural History Society,
I’m getting in touch from the British Dragonfly Society as we would like to invite you to our Annual Meeting, this year it will be held in Milton Keynes on Saturday 14 November.
The event is a chance to spend the day learning more about dragonflies, wetlands and nature conservation, with a fascinating programme of talks covering:
🌿 Dragonflies of the Great Fen – exploring how habitat restoration is creating new opportunities for dragonflies
🌼 Restoring our floodplain meadows – the importance of these valuable habitats for wildlife and people
📸 Odonatography – discovering the wonders of dragonfly flight – exploring the remarkable aerial abilities of dragonflies through photography
💙 The behaviour of Beautiful and Banded Demoiselles – an insight into the fascinating behaviour of these two species
The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in dragonflies, wetlands, wildlife and conservation. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other local naturalists and wildlife enthusiasts. Booking is essential and places are free, although donations are welcome to help us continue running events like this.
