This SSSI is managed by the Beds/Cambs/Northants Wildlife Trust, and has a rich diversity of wetland and grassland, noted for dragonflies.

Parking is extremely limited at The Causeway, Bedford, MK44 1JP SP 991584 – so car sharing is a necessity.
