Knockinghoe is the only National Nature Reserve in Bedfordshire. Flora and fauna are very special. Nationally rare plants include Burnt-tip orchid, Spotted catsear, Pasque flower, Field fleawort and Moon carrot. Also a good selection of downland birds.
