Woodland Archaeology Day 29 March 2019

Spend a day with woodland archaeology expert John Morris of the Chiltern Woodlands Project uncovering some of the secrets of Maulden Wood.

Learn about woodland archaeological features, including woodbanks, ridge and furrow and banks around medieval assarts, and how best to protect them.

Indoor session will examine old maps and other documentary evidence followed by a visit to Maulden Wood to see these features for real.
