Above is a flier for an all-day conference about invertebrates to be run by Buckinghamshire Invertebrate Group (BIG) with the support of BMERC (Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Environmental Records Centre). This is coming up very soon on Sunday 27th April.
Several of our MKNHS members are members of BIG, but this conference is for all of us interested in natural history. Our MKNHS member Alan Nelson will be presenting an update on Dragonflies & Damselflies in Bucks. This is a tremendous opportunity to hear about a wide range of insects and other invertebrates in our county and beyond. The day is free, but you need to book in advance.
BIG’s website says: This is an event for BIG members and other interested naturalists to share information about recent invertebrate recording in Buckinghamshire, population and distribution trends, recent arrivals and threats to particular species, and knowledge about recording methods, habitat requirements and management issues.
